I would say plumbing, electrical or general contractor. At least around me theres a lot of people looking for people to help with things like painting the inside of a house, caulking/grouting, general landscaping.

Looks like they go on sale 3 times a year. Once during the games anniversary in April, a second time during quakecon in August and then around Christmas.

That's for the fair warning. I think I'll look for some of the more reputable manufacturers. I initially looked at the high end Kase magnetic kits and those were way too expensive. I since found they have more reasonable kits that get really good reviews as well.

  • Does anyone have experience with Urth filters? I'm looking at getting some ND filters and came across this brand which I haven't heard of before but seem to get good reviews.

Good point. we're not far from NYC. Maybe in the next couple weeks we can head in at try it out at a couple museums. We were actually there today and took it down to Chinatown to test it out at a couple restaurants there. It worked fairly well but will try it out at a museum next week. Thanks for the suggestion!

Not really sure what we'll be photographing yet. I would imagine the historical structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, St Peters, etc... indoors and outdoors. At that time of the year it'll probably be getting dark early so probably a fair amount of nighttime shots.

I'm going to be taking a trip to Rome later this year and trying to figure out if I need to pick up another lens. Right now I have the Sigma 24-70 f/2.8. Will this lens do it or will I need to get something wider? I plan to take the normal pics of the historical sites and some of the sites over in Vatican City. We also plan on heading down to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast. If I can get by with the 24-70 i'd rather do that but if I'll be frustrated that I can't get some of the sites can you suggest a lens that doesn't break the bank?

Not sure what's going on. I tried logging in a few minutes ago and the queue was 29 minutes. I quit out of the queue to see if there was an issue on the server side and I quess there is because I just tried logging back in and now it's 43 minutes. Looks like I'll have to do my dailies later tonight

    Experience with Sony 70 - 200 f2.8 GM II

I don't have the 70-200 GM II but tried it out at B&H and fell in love. It's relatively light and the image it produced was gorgeous. My one hesitation, and to your point, it might be too long for landscape and too short for wildlife.

The first lens I bought for the Sony was the 24-70 and then picked up the 200-600 which stays on the camera about 80% of the time. I'd love to fill the gap with the 70-200 f2.8 but I'm completely happy with the lenses I currently have. That 2.8 still talks to me though.

Seriously considering this new 70-200 f4. We were saving for the f2.8 GM II but this is a whole lot cheaper and reviews are looking pretty good. As a hobbiest would you still go for the f2.8 even though it's another $1,200 more or would you even see the difference?

Any suggestions for a backpack that can carry a couple bodies, spare batteries, some accessories and a few lenses including the 200-600 and the 70-200? We use the 200-600 the most so something where we can have that connected to the camera would be preferred.

There's a good podcast called Elder Scrolls Lorecast that goes over the various regions, guilds, characters, etc in pretty good depth. They've been around for a while so there's a lot of good content to listen to.

Long time Nikon user and just switched over to Sony. Using the A7IV with a few Sony and Sigma lenses but the Sony 200-600 is getting the most use (by far). Here's a shot I took recently with it.
