    "Testicle-like nests"
I was not prepared to read that this morning.

I remember playing this when it came out. Overall I enjoyed the gameplay and story, but I vaguely remember some choices made by the guys that frustrated me. And the ending made me sad.

It had one of the best co-op modes that I ever experienced. You could play in groups of 2-8 with a mixture of 3 classes: soldier/heavy, a ranger/scout, and a medic.
Soldiers had a mini gun that could deploy a shield around him and others could stand behind it for protection. The ranger could throw out ammo for the other players. And the medic could heal people.
What made the co-op better is the enemies would scale with the number of players and I think even the overall level of the players. So if you had a full group of 8 players, the firefights would be intense.

I may need to load up my copy on RPCS3 and play through it again. I think it's been over a decade at this point.

Another small feature I remember about the game: the main menu would have Nathan Hale staring back at you. And as you progressed through the story, the main menu version of him would physically change to reflect where you were in the story.

  • It was originally on my towel while tanning and I grabbed my phone to take a pic. After the towel pic, it hopped onto my hand right between my middle and ring fingers. The problem was that was my phone hand, so I could feel it moving around, but I couldn't actually see it. I was hoping it would fly away, but it just stayed there. I carefully took my phone with my other hand and it thankfully started walking down my finger. I think it was after my sweat. ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F9268fd4c-c0da-4038-8499-c0b78b3ed07b.jpeg) ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F136e2903-c183-4d8d-b9e4-bc63866c46c9.jpeg) ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.world%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2F6bdc20d1-5e22-4ed2-8281-ad6ba0039ba7.jpeg)

  • Pirky Pirky 4w ago 100%

Right? I'm surprised, too. I think the main reason they're able to make so much progress because one of the main devs worked on either PCSX2 or RPCS3 so they already have experienced people on it.
But I think it's also because of the PS4's x86 architecture which makes it much easier to program for. Which also means it's much easier to emulate.
But that's just speculation on my end.

I've been repeatedly disappointed with most modern games, so I've taken to emulating my old games and playing them on my laptop. It's honestly a pretty good time, would recommend.
I'm getting to play games I loved that I haven't touched in over a decade (MotorStorm, all the Ratchet and Clank games, the good Need for Speeds, etc). Plus if there were any games I wanted as a kid but didn't have the money, I can buy most of them off eBay for cheap.

I am just barely ahead of you at 4 weeks and I noticed something similar with me. I'm very similar dimensions; at my lightest I was about 57 kg and 176 cm.
Once I started taking E, I was hungrier longer and it took more to satiate me. Now I'm around 60-62 kg, which is where I've been in the past, so I don't look all that different.
I noticed my legs feel a little squishier than I remember. But that could just be me looking for things that aren't there. I think it also moved some fat around in my face as my cheeks feel a little thicker/puffier than before. It's taking some getting used to.

    Review for LittleBigPlanet on PS3.
  • Pirky Pirky 2mo ago 100%

Loved LBP back in the day. Played through the entire story, 100%-ing each level and bonus level to collect all the different skins and costumes. Going through the different DLC.
And the best part were the online levels made by the community. One particularly popular mode were bomb drops. You'd go into a confined area that would drop bombs randomly on the map and you'd have to stay alive long enough to reach the bottom as the bombs slowly make the land harder to navigate.
There were also a few maps that people managed to look a bit scary, which is an achievement for a game that looks as kid friendly as this.

Edit: Another interesting idea were bonus levels that required between 2-4 players to complete. On one hand, it was cool there were levels designed that needed more than one person. But at the same time, if you didn't have friends or online functionality, the rewards from those levels were nearly impossible to get.

LBP2 was also pretty good, but I could tell a bit of the charm from the first was lost. Then I tried LBP3 on the PS4 but I couldn't get in to it. I might have been too old at that point to enjoy it, or the formula changed enough that I couldn't enjoy it enough.

I'm gonna play this on RPCS3 this weekend for the nostalgia.

I recently jailbroke my Wii and ripped all my current games, so this is surprisingly relatable to me right now.
I also got a low firmware PS4 to jailbreak so I can rip those in preparation for ShadPS4, an up and coming PS4 emulator. Bloodborne is running on it now, though it's still far from playable.

I am in this picture. I excelled in school almost all years and graduated in the top ten of my high school class. Then I went to an engineering school and got my ass handed to me. I managed to graduate after 5 years, but it was a struggle and my GPA was noticeably worse than high school.

Your collection of toy cars reminded me that I loved Hot Wheels as a kid in the '90s and early '00s. And I would often have to get more whenever we went to the store. Or at the very least see what they had. Luckily they were cheap so my parents were ok getting 1 or 2 each time.
I was also really good at remembering what ones I already had, so I knew at the store what ones I didn't have.
It's been a long time since I counted, but I amassed over 300 cars by the time I grew out of them.

From the link: "There were a series of accusations about our company last August from a former employee. Immediately following these accusations, LMG hired Roper Greyell - a large Vancouver-based law firm specializing in labor and employment law, to conduct a third-party investigation. Their website describes them as “one of the largest employment and labour law firms in Western Canada.” They work with both private and public sector employers. To ensure a fair investigation, LMG did not comment or publicly release any data and asked our team members to do the same. Now that the investigation is complete, we’re able to provide a summary of the findings. The investigation found that: - Claims of bullying and harassment were not substantiated. - Allegations that sexual harassment were ignored or not addressed were false. - Any concerns that were raised were investigated. Furthermore, from reviewing our history, the investigator is confident that if any other concerns had been raised, we would have investigated them. - There was no evidence of “abuse of power” or retaliation. The individual involved may not have agreed with our decisions or performance feedback, but our actions were for legitimate work-related purposes, and our business reasons were valid. - Allegations of process errors and miscommunication while onboarding this individual were partially substantiated, but the investigator found ample documentary evidence of LMG working to rectify the errors and the individual being treated generously and respectfully. When they had questions, they were responded to and addressed. In summary, as confirmed by the investigation, the allegations made against the team were largely unfounded, misleading, and unfair. With all of that said, in the spirit of ongoing improvement, the investigator shared their general recommendation that fast-growing workplaces should invest in continuing professional development. The investigator encouraged us to provide further training to our team about how to raise concerns to reinforce our existing workplace policies. Prior to receiving this report, LMG solicited anonymous feedback from the team in an effort to ensure there was no unreported bullying and harassment and hosted a training session which reiterated our workplace policies and reinforced our reporting structure. LMG will continue to assess ongoing continuing education for our team. At this time, we feel our case for a defamation suit would be very strong; however, our deepest wish is to simply put all of this behind us. We hope that will be the case, given the investigator’s clear findings that the allegations made online were misrepresentations of what actually occurred. We will continue to assess if there is persistent reputational damage or further defamation. This doesn’t mean our company is perfect and our journey is over. We are continuously learning and trying to do better. Thank you all for being part of our community." -LTT

This song goes harder than it has any right to and I feel more people should be aware of it. And the few people who did get to hear in game only heard the first 60-90 seconds before the level ended.
