So it does. I couldn't bother reading the logos when there was an amazing picture to look at. Good thing I'm not a police detective I suppose!

Same, fucking hell. When did this become a socially acceptable norm?

That was my first thought too, "man this must be colorised right? Or...?"
Stunning picture, looks like a movie poster.

The days of guaranteed chaos are over in F1, at least within these regulations. The drivers are higher quality than ever and the cars are more reliable than ever. This was what, the first safety car in 9 races or something like that? I remember a few years ago when a big deal was made of the first incident free F1 race ever (no red or yellow flags and all starting cars finishing the race) and now that is pretty much standard procedure.
I too will attempt to pretend the title race is still on, but I'm not exactly holding my breath.
As an early contributor to Disco Elysium, as well as a member of Kurvitz's tabletop sessions over the years, Martin Luiga discusses Elysium, as well as touches on his relationships with Robert and Argo Tuulik and more. He also confirms he, Robert, Alex Rostov and Helen Hindpere are in fact working on something for Red Info. Worth listen!

Yes, this is exactly why it's so important to not leave things unchallenged! Human brains are so susceptible to absorbing ideas through osmosis by just reading statements while scrolling.

Still fairly early for color photography, no? Looks incredible.

I'm not sure I agree with that assessment, but I hope you're right. The Red Bull has looked more hooked up this weekend than it has in months (at least in Max's hands) and to me the sprint victory looked fairly comfortable and assured. Part of it will have been enjoying clean air but Lando was far from the fastest car yesterday - would have been overtaken by both Ferraris would it not have been for his excellent start I think.
To me it looks like the Red Bull upgrade package finally put them back on top (or at least even) and Max will win most of the races from here on out - he is the best driver after all so you need clearly superior machinery to have a chance against him, which it looks like is no longer the case.

Still miss him on the grid, one of my favourite drivers and personalities to this day. Try to watch some of his early career races if you haven't, his natural speed was something else.
Still the last Ferrari world champion, too!

I mean, if I could run Civ V on my phone I'd play the shit out of that. Though that's turn based I suppose.

Let's hope the influence of this ham-sandwich man is waning too.

Didn't he burn himself out on Dota and quit?

With Argo Tuulik behind it I'm hopeful. Apart from Kurvitz he is probably the person with the best claim at making a legitimate spiritual successor.

Manifesting this as being Game of the Year. Please deliver GSC, all signs point toward an amazing game.

Yeah I really like this. Another thing I've been thinking of regarding comeback mechanics is Flex Slots. I kind of wish the second/third flex slot was either killing walkers or delivering the Urn twice. Bring locked out of flex slots is so punishing and sneaking the urn twice to get one would be fun and probably more possible than getting walkers when behind.

I'm probably going to be splitting my time depending on how I'm feeling that particular day. I'm not going to be attempting ranked matches if I'm tired from sleep dep and feeling like I can't focus, but I am very interested in higher match quality and hopefully better matchmaking. I'm also very curious about how this experimental ranking algorithm will work, so I'll have to at least give it a go. If they've managed to alleviate the immediate negative emotions of instant -MMR after a loss then that would be huge.

Yeah it's funny now that you mention it but I don't really remember the battle music if XV all that well. But I have stuff like Valse di Fantastica/Sunset Walz/Dewdrops at Dawn and Ardyn's themes seared into my brain.

What I love about the series is that there are so many varied entries that everyone can find their own favourite, consensus be dammed.
I'll always consider VI the absolute peak Final Fantasy - beautiful pixel art, Active Time Battles, SNES Mode 7, brilliant score, a fantastic story with a memorable villain and a large and varied ensemble cast of great characters... It has it all for me.
I also have to somewhat ashamedly admit that for whatever reason I actually have some fondness for XV. I've posted about it before but I have such a hard time succinctly putting my feelings about it into words, because it is by no means a good game. It's probably the biggest discrepancy I've experienced between the objective quality of a game and how much I enjoyed playing it. Whether it's the stellar fishing mini game or the random wholesome interactions between the gang and the overall bro trip vibe I don't know but there is something there. And the score is no Uematsu perhaps but I really enjoyed it and thought they did some wonderful leitmotif work.

Agreed, really looking forward to seeing what he's cooking up. One of the few people with legitimate claims to being able to make a legit "unofficial sequel". Really hoping to hear something out of Red Info too soon (Kurvitz's and Rostov's new company).
This one has Argo Tuulik and Lenval Brown involved, which lends some serious credibility to the project in my eyes. Tuulik was one of the prominent writers of Disco Elysium, as well as one of the settings' co-creators as one of the players in Kurvitz's tabletop RPG sessions.
Pictured in this graph: what xG does to a motherfucker. I thought this graph was super interesting as it is a near-perfect illustration of when data analytics and advanced statistics started to enter into football (2014-2016) and some of the effects it's had on the game. Post the match IDs of any games where you thought matchmaking was poor into the linked thread in order to help tune the algorithm. **DISCLAIMER**: The past 24h (Oct 3-4th) have had extra poor matchmaking due to a bug, so omit any IDs from that time frame.
It's very sad to see one of the most high-effort Dota content creators stop. I completely sympathise with their reasons, but I will sorely miss their videos as there were so many heroes I wish they'd gotten to do videos about.

Out of every 10 games I play, maybe one of them is a close, even game where everyone is on roughly the same skill level - and that's probably me being generous. Almost every game has people on either team not just losing their lane but going something like 0-17. I know it's early alpha and has had a huge influx of players recently so maybe it's to be expected to some extent, but even back in my Dota days matchmaking was never this bad. This is like, public WC3 Dota 1 lobbies level. How are you guys finding it? Anyone break through the MMR barrier into a point where you're getting consistently good games? How long did it take, and what MMR? (you can check [here](http://tracklock.gg/)
Someone had to be first to break the silence so why not with this? Nothing better than a guitar with a story, and few things more beautiful than a Jazzmaster full stop. Picture taken from a story [here.](https://www.chicagofretworks.com/2014/08/19/1959-fender-jazzmaster-nels-clines-watt/)
Stolen from a thread on the [other place.](https://old.reddit.com/r/DeadlockTheGame/comments/1f1g2w7/a_much_earlier_dev_test_version_of_deadlock/lk17lan/) I thought it was very interesting. How do you feel about cyberpunk compared to paranormal 30s New York as a theme?
I was waiting for the original poster to repost it here, but if they aren't then I will since this photo definitely belongs here.
While still holding out hope of one day seeing his book (the excellently titled "etceteracide") released, a song lyric will do. RSH was great with words, and I always thought this read pretty well as a poem.
Not his best comic but there's some good stuff in there as always. The "Fatty" (sorry, body-positivity) Foulkes reference was a great deep cut.^[[1](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Foulke_(footballer))]
> Three weeks into her presidential run was the first time the Biden campaign’s pollsters — now hers — held a deep-dive call with Kamala Harris’ inner circle to discuss what she’s been saying on the stump. > Over the line came a lot of praise, but also some suggested tweaks. First, said veteran Democratic numbers man Geoff Garin, summarizing their analysis, stop saying, “We’re not going back.” It wasn’t focused enough on the future, he argued. Second, lay off all the “weird” talk — too negative. Yes, stop using the two approaches that has been most effective. Absolute genius. I can't for the life of me see why the Dems have a reputation of shooting themselves in the foot. EDIT: Thankfully Kamala trusted her instincts and has had the good sense to ignore said advice so far
