That’s why I said “even if”.
“Even if” it’s not really a bug and they are backtracking, then [rest of comment here].

Man, I really hate seeing comments like this.
That’s not a strong way to start a comment if you want to have a conversation.
I feel like I need to reiterate that BitWarden is NOT an open-source company. They are committed to providing open-source compatible products with their products. Two very different things.
I don’t particularly care about your feelings, but go right ahead.
I’m curious though, did I say or imply they were AN OPEN SOURCE COMPANY (TM) (whatever the fuck that even means?)
If they feel their product is somehow lacking or affected by whatever they are packaging right now, they are completely free to change it.
Of course. And I’m free to post on this fucking website how I feel about it.
Isn’t all this freedom to discuss our feelings just fucking great?
It's really not a big deal
Options about this obviously differ.

Is there anything going on right now that would warrant people being critical of the state of Israel and its leaders? Anything at all?

Even if they are backtracking with egg on their face, this is good. Maybe better. Now they know they can’t get away with this stuff.

It sounds to me you are making excuses instead of confronting the obvious problems of Mastodon. It’s user-hostile to anyone who is not already a fucking nerd.
Just like Lemmy.

That’s substantially more restrictive than “Apache but you can’t sell it through this specific channel”, and it wouldn’t help this particular problem.
It’s not that the knock off extensions don’t want to share their code (they probably do).

“Such views” as the generally accepted definition of “open source” that’s been around since 1998?
Or the definition of “free software” that’s been around since 1990?
Or is it the fact that you are ignorant and arrogant, a potent combination, and resent being called out on your shit?

You sure run your mouth a lot for someone who “doesn’t care”.

TLDR: I’m too lazy or self absorbed to go look at the OSI website.

Because of the “no restrictions on use” thing.
I’m happy this arrangement works for you, but it’s clearly pushing beyond the boundaries of OSI-defined open source, let alone Free Software.

Uhh no? Non-baptized souls go to limbo according to Christian theology.

As someone recently told me, they don’t worry about saving lives, they worry about saving souls.
You need to abide by the quaint rules of the magical sky daddy for that, even if they don’t make sense.

The linked post is damning as FUCK. It’s not about business. Someone’s review bruised his fragile little ego.
Get bent.
