Absolutely. I picked up the Fellow Corvo EKG sometime back thinking it couldn't make that much of a difference but as a green tea lover, this makes all the difference. No more fishy teas!

I didn't get the gooseneck just because I didn't like how it looked but the fact that I don't do pourover coffee makes this not a big deal.

Ippodo is my current personal favorite. Prior to bringing it back straight from Japan, I just purchased it off Amazon. Ippodo also has their own website. They can be a bit expensive but I like ummon-no-mukashi ($51 for 40g on Amazon) for drinking it plain (usucha, unsweetened) and then for matcha lattes I like ikuyo (I'll typically get the 100g bag just because I drink a ton of it, also around $50).

    Edit: add link

Not sure if this counts but matcha is my absolute favorite tea. My partner recently visited Japan and brought back multiple seasonal/Japan exclusives and I could multiple cups every day.

Been meaning to start trying some looseleaf teas though is yunnan sourcing a good place to just try out random quality teas?

  • Hi all, I'm looking for genmaicha suggestions. I love green teas and recently(ish) discovered genmaicha. I first tried it at a Japanese restaurant and set out to find something near me that I could pick up at a store so I have been drinking Yamamotoyama genmaicha from my local Japanese grocery store. That said, I'd like to step up my tea game and was wondering if anyone had any genmaicha that they loved? Online stores are good with me. Thanks!
