I assume SSH is not exposed to the internet by default on openSUSE? I have not used SSH on my install so should I be safe if I just update?

It's amazing because GFN is still going strong and Microsoft is really pushing their cloud gaming platform. Stadia was just horribly mismanaged.

Regardless, IKEA is known for putting out quality but inexpensive electronics. Their rechargeable batteries and smart home products are great examples.

Let's be honest, the reason for that policy is so that if a Chromebook does fail you can go back to the manufacturer for warranty coverage.

I would trust an Anker charger just as much as an OEM charger.

USB-A, per the specification, is only supposed to provide 5V max. Qualcomm Quickcharge violates the USB-A specification, so only other devices that are designed to violate the specification and thus be compatible with QC will charge faster.

I use my leftover Stadia controllers. RIP.

But for my son I got an 8bitdo Lite 2 because it's smaller and easier for him to hold. Works great.

No, my Framework 13 is integrated only but it is still significantly more powerful than the Steam Deck. I haven't really done any ML stuff so couldn't tell you.

Mine was quoted as Q4 2023 when I ordered it and shipped by the end of November.

So on their site they are pretty clear about the Kopperkant being made in China, but specifically say the Drakkant Stainless and Ti are made in the US. I will take a look though!

  • I'm specifically considering the Drakkant Ti. I have a Rockwell 6S but I want something a bit more aggressive. Does anyone have a razor from them? Is it solid quality?

Are you talking about something you hook up to the TV? A raspberry pi is a great option but you need to provide your own games. It's just going to be the most flexible for playing whatever game you want. There are a couple distros for it that are easy to use once setup (retropi, recalbox). An RPi 3 or newer will do anything lighter than N64.

The best part is that this was added in response to people complaining about it not generating diverse enough people, so they made it randomly add different races to person requests that don't specify race.

For any one who finds it in the future - I just set a Steam launch with gamescope set to half my native resolution, fullscreen and enabled fsr. Games run at the weird 1128x752 and FSR makes it look even better but I get great performance.

I've been playing offline (and plan to - the ability to pause is helpful for me) and loving it. I played a decent amount in early access but mostly as a Primalist so I'm going Sentinel. Not sure if I want to go Paladin or Void Knight though.

I can't imagine there is but I'm wondering if I am missing something. I use GeForce Now and unfortunately it does not work in Plasma Wayland (issues with input redirection). Is there any problem with logging into an X11 session whenever I want to use that but using Wayland generally?

While even the artists signed to the major label imprints aren't as popular as some other genres, today's ease of distribution means we have some great independent artists to listen to. What are some you'd like more people to know about? - [Cauldron Born](https://cauldronborn1.bandcamp.com/) a cool solo project that puts out some consistently solid US Power Metal. He currently has a new album on indiegogo. Some of his earlier stuff can be a bit rough around the edges so try his newer albums if you're interested. - [Osyron](https://osyron.bandcamp.com/) is a very cool progressive metal group. At least one of the members is active on Reddit.

My laptop is arriving on Monday and I haven't picked a distro yet. I currently use Debian but that is on older hardware. I'm experienced with a lot of distros so I'm a bit flexible here. I was thinking openSUSE for the sake of the latest and greatest AMD drivers, but I do see that Fedora is officially supported while openSUSE is not. Are there any hardware compatibility issues I could expect?

If you aren't familiar, it was Travis Baldtree's ARPG before he worked on Torchlight. You can recognize some of the concepts there like utility pets. It also has a cool loop that you "retire" your character to pass on bonuses to your new character - increased fame and being able to hand down an item that gets upgraded every time you do so. I'm not saying it beats out Last Epoch or Grim Dawn, but it's a solid old-school dungeon romp.

I have a Galaxy Tab S7 and for a trip to Spain I downloaded some stuff to watch on the flight. When I got on the plane none of the stuff downloaded on Disney+ would play. Maybe an issue with downloading to the SD card? I don't know, but regardless Disney offers SD card as a download destination so they should make sure it is working. So now I'm here pirating a show that should be available to me through a service I pay for. Gabe was right, piracy is a service problem.

I recently switched my server over to running Plex and Home Assistant in Docker. I like the ease of transfer (just move my compose file and one directory where I have stored all the configs and I'm set) as well as the simple permissions management to give access to directories. I have only used Fedora briefly, but I am considering it instead of my usual openSUSE because it is "officially supported" for the Framework 13 I have on order. I saw the immutable versions and the idea seems cool though I don't really understand what new I would need to learn or really what benefits it would have. Is the concept overkill for a single-user laptop?

Made me realize they don't understand GFN at all. This is Neocore who developed Warhammer 40k Inquisitor and The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing. Van Helsing has been offline for almost a year and the Inquisitor Prophecy launcher is offline (you can still play all the content through the Martyr launcher). I reached out to their support on Discord. They first responded with "you can't play unsupported games on GeForce Now." Well, yeah, it's supported. Then they said "because it no longer supports the online mode you won't have it on GFN." Obviously BS. Then they went to "well it used to be supported but isn't anymore. We'll see if we can get them to update the listing to make this clearer." I explained that it's supported because they opted in - it's just broken. Then they finally said they won't be able to get anyone to look at it because the game is not supported anymore. It's baffling that this is the response from a company that has opted all their games into the service.
