I jabe a question, I noticed a few users with followers but I can't seem to follow anyone. I'm now questioning whether it was a fever dream. Can we follow users somehow? Sorry for the noob question, lol.

Doubt that's accurate. The AMA post doesn't even show up on his profile.

My husband is asleep, the house is quiet. I'm loving it. Just relaxing and knitting, peacefully. Not much sun for me today.

They will only work with apps that are "non-commercial", AKA free labour. There's no way an app survives without some kind of monetisation. It's just a money sink then. It's honestly incredible how shitty they're being.

It doesn't even show up on spez's profile lmfao. Last post says 1 year ago. Definitely no manipulation there.

I don't know how RedReader will survive without monetisation, either since the conditions are they are "non-commercial". It's such bullshit and just a ploy to further profit off free labour.

It's going to become a barren wasteland of bots communicating with each other.

Apparently they'll be laying off about 90 workers (5%) whilst also lowering the amount of people they will hire. So, less staff to begin with. Less mods. It's going to be a shitshow. The admins don't even deal with moderation, really. Reporting is outsourced to their "Anti Evil Operations" team. So wtf are they going to do? I can't wait to see the downfall.

At this point, after that poor excuse of an AMA, their reputation is tanked.

  • How do you usually get new books to read?
  • mortuum mortuum 1y ago 100%

I buy books only when I really love the edition. Otherwise, I'll buy some on kindle and rent others through my local library, or Libby. I only buy physical copies of books I am happy to re-read.

Reddit now says it will allow free API access for developers of accessibility apps
  • mortuum mortuum 1y ago 100%

"Non-commercial," AKA give us all your hard work for free. No subscriptions, you won't be compensated for your work. How are you supposed to make enough to support your app as a dev in this scenario? You're not. It's all PR damage control and it's pathetic. Once again trying to profit off free labour.

Definitely glad! It was coming from the hob, as well. I'm really glad we decided not to cook anything that day.
