    Really? I didn't know that.

When I did the color shading test I failed crazy with the shades between green and red, including yellow. Obviously I failed the whole board, but that was the worst though.

Can you try to see the difference, because you should see it, with colorblindness the shades are just harder to see? If you actually cannot tell the difference you might have something else than protanomaly, like missing one cone completely rather than a shifted one.

Unless you meant protanopia, rather then protanomaly, the -nopia means a missing cone aka dichromacy, and -nomaly a shifted one I think?

I actually thought it was like a reset button, like when using a browser, pressing home would put you into your home page. If the name was start, like end, I may have tried to actually use it for text editing.

And those who don't want to translate it, "Home" is "Mold" in Finnish, a running joke that the button is never used lol.

I'm severely deutan, even then red and green are a clear difference. Yellow is a bit harder to see, but still visible. Should not be an issue unless you are suffering from dichromatism.

  • If you have "Help" instead of "Ins", replace it with Overgod-tier. Keep pressing it, it will come. OC, feel free to share. EDIT; Home is now G-od tier. I didn't know it would go to the beginning of a line, I always used macros "lol".

I loved how my xiaomi went EOL after a major update that broke receiving calls, also the battery saver thing.

Never buying anything off them again, especially after GDPR notifications on everything, like why the fuck do you need this data (I know. Xi Jinping wants to know the good furry fetish porn)

Hey, not that I have sources and most likely not qualified to talk about this; But aren't some of the hitpieces on the civilian casualities also been under hamas control?

There's information on things being a genocide and also other information saying that hamas is using them as human shields?

Personally I don't know what to think of Israels actions, since I am very confused about the happenings there. I agree on military action on hamas, but at the same civilian casualities should be kept to a minimum. If you have any more info to read?

Just some other points that I've read; Hamas vs Israel has been going on forever now, rockets being shot from gaza Hamas siphoning aid funds to buy/create weapons Hamas using headquarters mostly in populated areas, like hospitals to create propaganda?

Any information to counter whatever beliefs I have are more than welcome, I'd rather be educated on the matter. This post might seem pro-israel, but I decided to focus on the war, not Israel, which I do have major issues with.

Waited to reply so I'm not spreading misinformation in active threads lol.

Adding to this, it is basically ONLY the OLED. Performance between the LCD and OLED was gains around 1-5%. For a "brand new" unit, check the valve certified refurbished steam deck store page for really cheap decks with warranty.

Edit; also ~35% better battery life.

Public companies obviously intentionally want to make everything as shitty as possible, just to extract money, but lets accept the hypothetical that subscriptions will actually be banned. Wouldn't that be great?

You would basically be treated the same as Tier 1-3 ISP's, pay for the cost of the routing to the company. That phone plan that costs ?? €/$ a month becomes "Pay as you use it". Flat fee per gigabyte / message etc. These plans were at least here in Finland, and I think my phone bills were around 4-5 EUR a month and a cap that you cannot exceed that month, though smartphones and data plans weren't a thing. Now everything is a subscription.

Now back to hardware vs software. You obviously pay for the software also when buying the hardware, but for whatever reason the user doesn't own any kind of rights around it. This has obviously become much worse the past few years (TV's have ads etc). I really don't think that the issue is anything you listed, the issue is that greedy companies want to use the subscription model rather than play fair. Phones and modems are EOL at best in a year. I have a PFSense router that cost me less than a router from my ISP used and it's EOL and security is something I don't have to worry about.

Modems and routers have most of their features dedicated to home networking and are not usually made by the ISP. Them connecting to the internet is one of the smallest features they have. The other features are related to offline networking and tight security, you can actually just plug an ethernet cable to the wall and get connection from your ISP. Same as using a modem and putting it in "bridge mode", which will completely bypass the features of the modem/router.

The issue here is that the companies don't want to provide value, they just want to extract as much money as possible, which is wrong. Laws and regulations are desperately needed and even something as radical as banning subscription services for user devices would be a net positive. Renting Tier 1-3 operator infrastructure for your router/modem to work is completely different than "You have the device and the software, but we block you from using it, since you don't pay", which in my opinion is ransomware, not subscriptions.

For right to repair and owning these devices, I completely agree with you.

    Just responding to the edit;

Modems work with other providers. You don't own the infrastructure that connects the internet -> subscriptions.

Phones make it impossible to root or change batteries? I don't own the device, byt at least it's not e-waste yet.

The car thing you don't own since the software makes the hardware e-waste.

[Troubleshoot answer] Topping DAC/AMP shutting down

Reposting answer from reddit to here since I removed it. This issue was MX3 initially, but seems to be related to some other headphone DAC/AMPs The issue is either in windows or some kind of feedback near the DAC. Feedback from other power sources near your headphone wire, something as small as a bluetooth mouse in between my headphones triggers this. The amount of interference from other devices is REALLY SMALL, make sure no power cables or such are near your aux. Legal bullshit below by not-a-lawyer. Now I don't want this answer to go back into reddit so... This answer is licensed under "no license" and a branching license for companies. Private or public companies with revenue over >50000 EUR have zero access. Public companies that receive any kind of funding (such as venture capital) have zero access. Any non-profit, private, public or otherwise have access to the "no license" license, but cannot be a sub-company of anything previous. License is retroactive, if you fail to meet any of the above, you lose your license. Terms are applied under Finnish law.
