Do you have a book? Can people donate brick funds?

I don’t want to disappoint gay guys.
Gents, this is not for you; it’s for her. 🙂

True. Ideally the Amish would have a “immigrated”, assimilated, and become another tribe in the area hundreds of years ago. However, this is still a better outcome than the tribes still litigating treaties signed hundreds of years ago, like in Oklahoma.

“Surprising” or “unexpected” are probably a better words due to connotations and all.

Agreed.
Vim/Neovim and Spacemacs (Emacs) are so much more addictive than NPP.
That’s cool if NPP is OP’s thing, but there are quite a few text editors which check those boxes in the *nix world.

Yep. It’s 2024, and rich men are still funding projects to glorify themselves and assuage their ego.

It is, which is rather annoying.
I should spend some more time with the FOSS forges, but bare git works for me when I’m self-hosting my own repos.

The workflow is also kind of obtuse.

Okay, it’s not about the existential crisis that is life. Nature should work on that title.
This is pretty cool. I’ve know a couple of people with chronic pain, and getting off the painkiller escalator is something they would like.

I’ve gotta go sign up some more countries for predatory loans and strangle some economies. Tootles!

So this is how the tech dark ages start. The last 40yrs are erased, and we end up back in 1979 where everyone is selling a tech stack and nothing is compatible.
Rebuilding around something which isn’t C would be a bright side.
Qualcomm buying Intel would be a top 3 worst case. Broadcom or Marvel would be the other two.
Some funny scenarios: Nvidia buys Intel, IBM buys Intel, Apple buys Intel.

JetBrains Rider is probably the best C# IDE for Linux, and MS ported .NET server stuff a while ago.
I’m not sure about C# GUI toolkits on Linux. WPF isn’t there, and I’m not sure how mature Maui is on Linux.

The post is about the genocide of Native Americans. Natives originally lived in the Midwest, and now they don’t.
Also, Indiana is the only state to be taken over by the KKK, and the North was racist in its own way.

Exactly. He “stole” millions from companies stealing billions, and thus was eaten.

Does anyone have USB-C dock recommends? I have a Thinkpad P1 gen 4 running Fedora I’m going to be using as my desktop replacement, and I’m looking for a Linux friendly dock. I don’t need the dock to do much. Ideally, it could drive 2x 4K DisplayPort displays, have a 2.5Gb+ Ethernet port, and a couple USB-A ports, but 2x 2K DisplayPort and 1GbE work too. Preferred price is <$150.
Any opinions on an IM solution to send notifications to? Something which can show push notifications on my phone would be ideal. This is for my personal stuff which isn't critical or public. I would like E2EE if for no other reason then why not. Top options: - Matrix - XMPP Middle: - Jami (No API?) - Zulip (no EE2E) - Google Chat (no EE2E?, dealing with Google APIs) No: - Briar (no iOS client) - Signal (no API) - Session (no API) - Whatsapp (API cost) - Threema (cost) - Wire (bot API in beta, cost?) - Telegram (sus) - Slack
