Is there a problem with syncing between instances? I find that this instance is not pulling in all comments from communities on other instances. In some cases, it shows zero comments on a post when the originating instance shows dozens.
Here's an example, from !godot@programming.dev :
- On the FMHY instance: https://lemmy.fmhy.ml/post/118115?scrollToComments=true
- On the programming.dev instance: https://programming.dev/post/34070?scrollToComments=true
I tried posting from here to see what would happen, and my comment shows up on both instances, but it's the only one viewable on the FMHY instance.
Another example from !programming@beehaw.org :
- 38 comments on FMHY: https://lemmy.fmhy.ml/post/95497?scrollToComments=true
- 53 comments on Beehaw: https://beehaw.org/post/598937
I went over to z-lib.is and found that first, my old account was no longer recognized; and second, it wouldn't let me access any books. It just redirected me to some page asking me to purchase a "lifetime premium membership." What's going on there? **ETA**: Z-Library's domain was taken down some time last year. They're now available through TOR, and the onion link is on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Z-Library Don't give your money to whoever is running the .is site!

After you add a community from another instance, is it normal for the posts to appear here, but not the comments? Do only comments made after adding the community show up?

I see, I assumed that the ! links would take me to the community via my instance, but they actually just take me directly to the other server.
