That's a pretty disturbing story, and I never would have imagined they would not tell a victim. I understand the argument against it, but the risk of long term mental illness / PTSD from it being suppressed just seems way too high.

Zigbee and wifi do clash a bit more, but after I set my channels I've never had problems: https://www.metageek.com/training/resources/zigbee-wifi-coexistence/
My zwave has been bulletproof though. I suspect something is wrong with your setup, I assume you've tried things like healing the network?
Is your stick on a USB extension cable or hub extended away from your pc? That can help quite a bit.

I moved trom Saxx to Bn3th because I found they stretched out less over time and thus last longer.
Design wise they're practically identical to Saxx.

Take the door off. Use a knife to score the existing silicone and then pull the glass out. Use a razor blade and knife to clean up the existing silicone. Clean the surfaces well.
Get silicone bathroom caulk from home depot. Put some in the channel, put the glass back, put more along the seam. Use a wet finger to smooth it out.
Tape it in place while it cures and you're done.
I'm kinda surprised a piece with an attached door is just siliconed in place. Is there no retention screw or anything?

Maybe, but I wish it wouldn't be considered "really nice" and instead just be called basic compassion. Compassion doesn't seem to be common enough to be a basic thing though 😕

I've been messing around with circuits my entire life but this design was time sensitive and I've never done my own PCB designs before, so I hired someone to put this together. After getting some test boards, when I plug them in the charger chip gets very hot and smells like burning.... Circuit is just a simple li-ion usb charger and a switch. I've gone through the datasheet for the bq25302 more times than I can count and I'm missing something obvious here. Using it just for delivering power seems to work fine, the problem is only when charging. I do see R6 + R7 off TS don't have the recommended 10k values, but I don't feel like that would cause what I'm seeing. This is being connected to a 21700 lipo. Someone mind lending me their eyes please? bq25302 datasheet - https://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/bq25302.pdf ![](https://lemm.ee/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Flemmy.ca%2Fpictrs%2Fimage%2Fe41d7870-52b9-4242-a991-8583d3d6e044.png)
Recently I was asked if we'd be willing to [reconsider federation](https://lemmy.ca/post/3326347/11171040) with Hexbear, followed by [CARCOSA](https://hexbear.net/u/CARCOSA) reaching out to me to see if it was something we'd be open to. [They made a post](https://hexbear.net/post/3295736) asking if their community was interested in refederating with us, similarly I'd like the opinion of our local users. **Why refederate?** Hexbear has a decent number of sizable active communities: - https://hexbear.net/c/games - https://hexbear.net/c/technology - https://hexbear.net/c/movies - https://hexbear.net/c/food - https://hexbear.net/c/vegan These all seem fairly well moderated, giving us access to more diverse posts and viewpoints. A lot of our feed right now is dominated by US centric communities, and it'd be nice to get some more variety. **Why not?** They love trolling and I don't expect them to follow our rules when commenting (primarily "be civil"). Just looking at [their thread about us](https://hexbear.net/post/3295736), there's a significant number of immature replies slandering us / Canada. I'm not confident their users will engage in actual discussion in our threads, rather than just showing up to throw out insults and memes. We can try to handle this by banning users / blocking specific communities, but that's going to increase moderation workload for both admins and mods. Hexbear is self admittedly quick to ban users on their side, but they also don't mind ban evasion - not ideal for us. **So what's next?** This is where we solicit your opinions, how does our community feel? **Edit: Well, it looks like the community is overwhelmingly against refederation. Decision made, thanks everyone for your feedback!**
Sometimes I want to find a post I viewed a while ago. I can hide read posts, but is there any way to view read posts? I can't find anything in any menus.

Hi everyone, We'll be undergoing maintenance on Saturday morning from about 11am - noon PST. We've been having some stability issues over the past few days that I've tracked down to database performance, so I'll be doing some tuning and also applying all our needed system updates at the same time. Cheers! Update: This is all done now!
Sorry for the brief bits of downtime here and there, I snuck in a quick upgrade of us to the latest lemmy 0.19.4 now that a few bugs have been patched out. More details here! https://join-lemmy.org/news/2024-06-07_-_Lemmy_Release_v0.19.4_-_Image_Proxying_and_Federation_improvements
I'm in the process of upgrading us to the latest 0.19.4 release. https://join-lemmy.org/news/2024-06-07_-_Lemmy_Release_v0.19.4_-_Image_Proxying_and_Federation_improvements You might see some brief downtime during the next hour or so, pictrs is currently upgrading its database. Edit: Holding off on lemmy as Blaze was nice enough to flag some new bugs - https://lemmy.ca/comment/9660430 Edit: Pictrs upgrading taking longer than expected after the migration crashed, hopefully wrapped up soon! Finally Done! We're all ready for the new lemmy version now, maybe once a patch release comes out.
Although it's not Facebook, I figured y'all would appreciate this
