The question isn't really "ads or subs" these days, it's "your data or your dollar", and in this situation there is no good option (since your dollar is the perfect identifier for your data!).

I was thinking more a binomial proportion test with the available data ;)

Also, yep, "assuming" was a key part of the statement!

I dunno, twitter was more a stardew valley running the Joja route; but then it turned into X which was more of a Concord - so much money pumped in and so little quality.

So here's the question - is the scale consistent over time? That is, do we consider the same ideas left/right wing in 202x as we did in 199x?

Let's assume it is. We're seeing men lean towards the center/right, and a lot of people are asking why. The trouble is, the answer isn't one people like to hear - in our headlong pursuit of equity, we're introducing a lot of inequality. You lift the ladies up, while you let the men climb - all based on the assumption that the women had further to climb so what you're doing is levelling the field.

Countering this is a sympathetic voice, one offering to bring back equality or offer a different kind of equity. Casting gender equity as a zero sum game, and pushing for equality aimed at the ones not being lifted up.

I often hear the "uneducated men" argument, but that's just an ugly echo from the past serving those it once oppressed in a bitter irony. The reality is that even educated people can fall for propaganda. Especially when voting in what they see as their own self interest.

So if the average price was $50 in 2000, and is about $70 today, assuming a linear rate of price increases, it would be $1663.33 in 4024.

This is a terrible model: it likely underestimates as inflation is geometric rather than arithmetic.

For a geometric model we have r=1.011329 over this period, thus extrapolating we get a price of...

    $208,200,000,000

Which is insane, because it is so low for Nintendo!

We've received word that we're migrating from the older version of Blackboard to the new, "student approved", Blackboard Ultra. We'll be migrating our courses by hand over the summer; how bad is this going to be?

Truly a test of patience - this is an excellent modpack that unifies 3 classics together into the way I dreamed of playing them as a kid. Found it by accident a week ago, and it's been my short nightly unwind (trying to do a solo run because I always wanted to).

So, in the past, I used to make a bit of money fixing up comps for folks. With slightly trickier cases, I used to boot up puppy Linux to check the more essential hardwares (and if it booted, back up essential files for the customer). My students are now asking how to manage similar things. Alas, puppy is no good for a modern system, as it really does not like UEFI boot. I was wondering if anyone can recommend an alternative. I'm looking for a very lightweight gui os I that can run some hardware diagnostic tools, runs on a wide range of hardware, that is easy enough to set up on a pen for novice users.

So, kgen98 was one of the first genesis emulators, and it runs on dos. I use it in one of my ICT classes (paired with a sonic 1 rom) on a floppy disk to demonstrate just how heavily compressed and optimised older games were. It's an oddball that is definitely worth trying out.
