The only paid app that I have is Moon+ Reader Pro.
I read a boatload of ebooks on my device, and this has been my ebook-reader of choice for a while. I found it to be so good that I did the IAP, and stopped using Librera Reader.
For all that matters, I am a huge supporter of FOSS apps (that's the reason I have only one paid app lol) - but Moon+ reader Pro beats Librera in two areas - Librera is pretty slow when it tries to open a huge file, and Librera also can't download book covers like Moon+ does.

Bang on !
I don't know how I missed that. But thanks for pointing that out !
2 mines left, and this is supposed to be No-guess. However, it seems that there can be two answers to this - (A) The top square of the top pair and the top square of the bottom pair, can both be mines. (B) The bottom square of the top pair and the bottom square of the bottom pair, can both be mines. But then this is not really guess free, is it ? _(Note - I did go with option (A), and it proved to be right. But my original question still stands)._ What am I missing ?
Apparently the write-up is AI-generated BS, but super foxy...

Now that you say that, it clearly looks like an AquaTurtle humping the shark's a$$.
How do I unsee this?

In an instance like this, our riders have 24/7 access to Rider Support agents who will help them navigate the situation in real time
Clearly that's what a human driver would do, but I guess those Rider Support Agents work for free, so why not fire the driver? /s
And I thought Mickey Mouse was cute...

I might come across as an obsolete dinosaur (which I probably am) - but I really enjoyed the tracks from Hitman game series, especially Exploration from Hitman 2 : Silent Assasin, and then became a fan of anything composed by Jesper Kyd.

Your reasoning makes perfect sense, and now I wish I didn't brute-force it head-first. Thanks for pointing that out !
DeadNinja 1mo ago • 100%
Bingo. I guess you got my reason behind flagging the square above the "4".
But I am still stuck.... May be brute force is the only way out...
DeadNinja 1mo ago • 100%
I think so too, but so have been unable to reason anything. Heading in brute-force is obviously the last resort for me, but was looking for something logical before I do that.
DeadNinja 1mo ago • 100%
Because the two covered squares to the left of the "4-with-flag-on-top-of-it" can have only 1 mine (because of the "2" there), which means the "3" needs one more mine, which can only be on top of that "4".
At least that's my reasoning.
This is guess-free, and 14 mines left, all under those uncovered squares. Any thoughts on how to proceed ? ------------------------- EDIT - never mind. Tried brute force with the hope that the path I choose would be the right one - and lost. But there's always a next ~~time~~ mine, lol. And it was indeed heartening to see the Minesweeper community in Lemmy is not dead.

Ever since TV remote was invented, people don't even lift their asses off the couch and walk over to the TV to change the channel. Unless a company adapts to changing tech landscape, they can be many things, but not a company for grown-ups.

I just read about this extension today. Seems interesting. The description says It's supposedly doing more than just switching the UA.

Not going back to Jerboa unless the basic feature of searching contents other than just communities is implemented. I find this fundamental feature sorely lacking in Jerboa while every other app around there have this.

Kind of surprising, because this is pretty basic feature, and has been open for over two years.

I take it that you were referring to Mull (Browser) and not MullVad (VPN service).

This article seems to assume that advertisers don't want our identifying information, and are clamoring for an alternative to tracking that lets them measure ad performance anonymously, which is just not true. Being able to uniquely identify users and target them is a feature, and getting more data points from the browser just helps add to their profiles.

The good thing is that Firefox has got some decent forks like Librewolf, which are worth exploring if one is okay with slightly delayed updates.

It was surprising to see this from Firefox, and even more unsettling was the fact that this was turned on by itself in my desktop firefox settings since the last update. So it was opt-out by default, while I expected this to be opt-in, just like their telemetry.
Not good. Nope.
I am not an audio person, so do not have much idea about technical terms - but I hear the words "bass" and "treble" almost everywhere now, especially in the equalizer app that came with a new bluetooth earbuds that I bought (yes, I am still very much a wired-earbud guy, just dipping my toes in the wireless earbud ocean). So what do these "bass" and "treble" mean? I guess I hear the sounds to be different when I monkey around with the equalizer. The sound is slightly deep/full for "bass" and less so for "treble". Is that all?
For a while Reddit dot com has been blocking my browser since I use a VPN, but old reddit was still functional for me. Although I closed my reddit account just after the API-exodus, I still frequent the niche communities which has hyper-specific topics discussed. Found to my surprise today that they are now blocking old reddit as well if I use a VPN. Never thought that \[old].\[reddit].\[com] would one day show that f'kin "Whoa there Pardner" page. Fuck you spez. Really, fuck you.
