How does one recover from trauma?

I may take marijuana since I live in a legal state.

But other than what I'm already doing, how does one stop the flashbacks and what-not?

I get them daily and even interpret reality by comparing my past experineces to what happened before.

(I was abused by my narcisstic father up until relatively recently, btw.)
