Cross stitch and embroidery
I love cheeky cross stitch, this was a free pattern found on the DMC website, then I chose a font I liked for the words. I think it came out great!
Not much of an update as I've mostly been filling in the bottom section, which has like 8 different versions of blue in it lol but I'm making decent progress! I'm hoping to be done with this one in about another week!
Upgraded my frame. Got a Q snap with the 14" extensions. So I can now work in portrait mode which benefits this particular pattern. Also because of the way the pattern printed out I'll be working on this in thirds. This is the middle third. There's a lot of black...

I can't call this one *fully* original because I did use the [Bing Image Creator ](https://www.bing.com/images/create)AI website to generate the initial artwork. After generating the image I converted it into a pattern on [Floss Cross](https://flosscross.com/) If you hadn't already guessed, this is a Prince pattern! I'm making it as a custom piece for a friend, but it's also a good chance to test out a homemade pattern before I try a bigger *completely original* pattern after this!

Attach one 2 one loop on your scissors & attach a key chain (I found mine in the jewelry making section 2) with a larger split ring 2 the mini split ring. Voila! And new project started. That thumbnail has seen some things... First time using yellow Aida. Kinda like it. Much easier to work with than black. And this is another pretty big stitch so I'm glad I won't need the light under the project.

Three thread packs at Hobby Lobby. They package it as "Artiste" but it's actually manufactured in Mexico by a company that sometimes goes by "Hilo Iris" and other times simply by "Iris." I found a color list from 2011 online, and a DMC conversation chart they compiled themselves. But, being the OCD idiot I am, I decided to try to match the threads myself...
Getting close to wrapping this up. Will probably miss my sister's birthday, but Christmas is around the corner. Or it'll just be a belated gift.

I just finished one commission that I realized I severely undercharged for once I started it, now I have a few other people asking me to make more pieces! I looked up some info online about setting prices, but I'm honestly never sure how many hours a cross stitch is going to take me to finish, and the other method they recommended was charging by the number of stitches, but that seems like it ends up making things more expensive than people would be willing to pay... Does anyone else have an easy pricing structure they use? Is [@thegiddystitcher@lemm.ee](https://lemm.ee/u/thegiddystitcher) still on here? I feel like she might have some experience with this lol
Now that I finished my commission piece I'm back to my Spirited Away cross stitch! Just finishing the last parts of section 5 of 6 so hopefully this one will be done soon! What are you guys working on today?

I'm taking a short break from my Spirited Away cross stitch to make this piece that someone commissioned from me on Saturday! I believe this guy is called a "Cacodemon" and it's from the video game Doom! 
I started this just after finishing Totoro so this is a few weeks of work. Will be a present for my sister when finished.
What are you working on today?
I haven't had time to get as much of this done as I'd like this week, but you can at least see the rest of the 5th panel here taking shape! I hope to get this part finished up by the weekend!
